Memorial Construction

2nd of June 2011. Day two, start of foundation and concreting.  ( 7cubic mtre. of Concrete )

3rd of June 2011. Day 3, wall gets built. Four and a half hours to build. Steel rods between each layer of blocks -
( holes to be filled with concrete. )

6th of June 2011. Day 6, preparing the raised podium and end plinths for concreting.

7th of June. Day 7, concreting of plinth's and raised podium. Final day of major work.

13th June. Day 13. Area Cleaned up. Timber templates for Murals attached to wall.

21st June - 26th June. Day 21 - 26. Flag Post's in place. Tilers starting on the podium and wall.

14th July 2011. Day 44 - Korean Garden  & 23rd July. Day 53 - Garden Complete. Lawn laid. Pavers completed. 

The Memorial wall plates are now complete. To show them here would lessen their impact, and ruin the unveilling of a much awaited Memorial. One wall plate photo has been placed here as part of showing the update and construction of the Memorial. The plates will soon be attached in their final place and finishing touches will complete the construction. No photos will be shown with the finished Memorial site until the unveilling and dedication ceremony which will be on Saturday 20th of August 2011
